Question Accommodation recommendations needed

I am considering booking a last minute trip to Orlando - just me and my daughter (16) for a week. I am looking for good quality accommodation in a good location (preferably quiet) ... on a budget of approximately £350 max for a week - 9-16 August. I have found what appears to be 'reasonable' hotels but they have too many awful reviews and I'm sure you all agree that the wrong accommodation can totally ruin a vacation. We will have a car. Any recommendations are gratefully received - I need to make a decision this weekend!

I think you may have to up your budget. If you can't why not put it towards another trip later on

I just pit in your dates on Expedia for the Red Lion Hotel, Kissimmee. I haven't stayed here so can't recommend but I watched a YouTube vid by The Lodge Guys who stayed here in March and they reviewed it and said it was fine, a bit dated, good internet and a very good location for getting to Disney. Apparently Trip Advisor reviews are mixed.
It is coming in £319 for your dates (non-refundable) or 349 with free cancellation until 8th August.

Sorry, to add it does say +$64 dollars due at property ("resort fee") so actually it is coming in a little over budget.

Love holidays has Avanti Resort for £343 and Rosen inn point Orlando slightly more for £371 but may be worth considering

Avanti has a resort fee so don’t bother. Any of the Rosen properties on I Drive, been to the Point and International with my daughter enjoyed both. We went to Universal 3 times and did some shopping when we went for a week last year (dd was 17).

Rosen Inn Pointe or International should be within budget and are in great locations. Excellent value for money.

Although more expensive would a villa be suitable for you?
A villa in Windward Cay for your week would be £475. More resorts are now adding resort fees which makes them much more expensive!

Thanks Rob - I have reconsidered and have upped the budget a little as I have managed to get a good price on car rental. I have looked at the villas we have rented before and have found one at a fantastic price for 5 of our 7 nights so am considering that with maybe a couple of nights in the Clearwater area.

Thank you for looking into this - I have looked at both hotels ... along with MANY others. I have managed to increase the budget a little as I have got a great deal on the car rental. Thank you for taking the time to look for me - The Red Lion looked like a good option but I am now looking at a great villa that I have stayed in before ... fab price.
