There’s no reason not to send it then as not doing so is only going to cause the kind of worry we see here and what advantage is there to holding it back?

There is a reason. Gated communities change gate codes. We change alarm codes.
So there is no point in sending printed info and then having to contact guests to tell them codes have changed .
