Hi
Is it worth paying extra for the 1st category seating at this show?

Thanks

In my opinion no. The venue has stadium style seating anyway so you always get a good view.

The Cat1 tickets are the first few rows at the bottom - in fact for little ones they perhaps provide a worse view because the safety barrier would be in the way!

I would say definitely not. The cat 2 seats are actually better as you are slightly higher up.

Also sometimes there are offers on the category 2 seats for the later show. Check the French DLP website for a ‘billet malin’ offer.

Higher up also means out of the way of the dust.

We got "upgraded" to the higher category on one trip and actually didn't like the view we had from down so low as the arena walls were blocking the view slightly. We much prefer it from higher up in the "cheap seats".

The only other difference with the cat 1 seating is you get an orange juice on arrival and you tend to get a bit better interaction with the clown but it's definitely not anything that's worth the extra cost.
