It's that simple!
I thought I had to change buses somewhere?

The bus may also call at Swan, Dolphin and Boardwalk but I can't recall the order. The same bus serves all four. Maybe even the Yacht Club is a separate stop as well.

No you don't need to change buses, you would only ever need to change buses if you were going to another resort.
The bus picks up at Yacht Club first then Beach Club, when we were staying our buses never went to the Boardwalk hotels, only the boat did. There is no need to pay for an uber (re pp) when there are free buses running, we never waited much more than five minutes for any bus. |

This was the only time we used the WDW busses last year. For us it was direct from BC to DS with no stops. On the way back it definitely stopped at Boardwalk (cant remember if it stopped at Swan and Dolphin) then YC followed by BC. We got off at YC and walked through to BC.

We've never stayed on site at any WDW resort but visit Boardwalk from DS every holiday. Maybe done it a dozen times over the past few years and our bus always seems to go Swan, Dolphin, Yacht, Beach, Boardwalk then back to DS.
They must vary the way they operate and maybe use a different or extra buses when it's busy rather than the same bus calling at all resorts. If the bus starts getting full by Dolphin we often get off and catch the boat to Boardwalk. Just found this useful web site magicguides/disney-world...portation-map/ Mick EDITED to add maybe they even reverse the route now and again for a bit of a change for the driver.
