Hollywood studios FastPasses limited!

We go May 21st and can start booking our FastPasses soon (30 days) looking at the FastPass availability on here, and Hollywood Studios seems very limited! Tower of Terror states standby only for most days mid May onwards and Rock and Roller coaster and Toy Story Mania evening only available! All other parks seem ok! Anyone know why Hollywood Studio seems so manic?

I managed to get Tower Terror on the app yesterday for 4.25 - 5.25 for the 13th May and Toy Story Mania for the morning for the same day. Didn't have any luck with Slinky Dog

I believe Tower of Terror is in the middle of a refurb, one lift at a time. So only half normal FPs available.

Dont suppose anyone knows when tot refurb is supposed to be done by?

The fastpass availability page shows plenty of availability for Rock'n'Rollercoaster, Star Tours, Alien Swirling Saucers, Toy Story Mania, etc on the 21st May onwards. It's only Slinky Dog Dash and Tower of Terror that has limited or no availability. You can still get fastpasses for ToT but only in the evening.

Looking 30 days from today (= 15th May) it's the same. Plenty of availability for everything except SDD and ToT. ToT has fastpasses but evening only.

As mentioned above, fastpasses for ToT are limited because it's having a partial refurb. SDD is always a difficult ride to get a fastpass for at 30days.

We spent the day at HS yesterday and the biggest standby queues are the dog ride and Aerosmith. Tower of Terror was advertising 40 min wait when we went on it, but in reality it was no more than 20 so we got lucky. It was a bit wet yesterday though, and HS was the quietest of the 4 parks during our stay so far.
