Pre-travel day

Hello everyone, welcome to my trippie.

Today started off like a lot of pre-travel days. Me and Chris were both working, so set about our normal morning routines. I was finished just before 2, so drove home from Bradford getting petrol on the way. Once back I put all the ironed clothing into the suitcases, did all the last bits of cleaning and waited for Chris to finish at 4:30.

Had to say goodbye to my favourite item in the kitchen...my coffee machine! Always part of the morning routine and will be missed while I’m away!

Both the suitcases were packed and we set off for Manchester just before 6:30.

Went to the Trafford centre en route for some food and arrived about 7:30. A lot of the restaurants were pretty busy and had queues waiting, so we opted for Barburito instead. I had the sweet potato chilli burrito and Chris has the pulled beef. We shared the ultimate nachos and with drinks it came to £26.15. We were both starving, so ended up leaving the Trafford about 25 minutes after we’d arrived!

After much confusion with getting to the hotel and ending up down a very strange looking country road we found the Airport Inn and Spa hotel. Wasn’t what we expected and the whole place was very outdated, as some called it on trip adviser “airport hotel horror”! However at £52 for the night and considering we only decided to book a hotel the night before 4 days ago it would do!

The place had a nice little bar which showed signs of life in what seemed like the middle of nowhere, so we were happy. Having a few drinks and went to sleep ready for our early start tomorrow!
