Mobile Last minute city break advice

Hi we are thinking of a last minute city break at the end of the month somewhere Europe with a 12 year old. Looking of somewhere with things to do/see with nice bars for a drink. I thought of Amsterdam or bruge? Any others you recommend as I’m going round in circles ☺️☺️

Athens for me. Great history, food and stuff to do, it’ll be warm though.

Are you looking to drive or fly?

If driving, both Bruges and Amsterdam get my vote, but Amsterdam would win.

If flying I would start by looking at availability at your local airport and work it out from there. If only going for a few days then reasonable flight times and not too much travelling either side would be helpful.

See what the options are and bound to be folks on here who have been to them and can help whittle it down.

Nice idea, was just saying to my DH, I think we should go on more

Madrid is lovely, as is Stockholm (but it’s expensive!)

Split is lovely as it has a great beach/city mix. Lots of great bars and restaurants and easy to get around. If your teens are Game of Thrones fans there is a shop and small museum there and the Diocletian Palace has been used as a filming location for the series. Lots of ways to get around using buses and ferries to see nearby areas too, we really enjoyed Krka National Park by bus from here
