It’s been a while...

Hi folks, some of you may remember me. I was one of the original DIBB members in 2002 and had lots of trips when the kids were younger. But they have grown up and left home now.

Haven’t been since 2011 but we are planning a trip in Feb/Mar with just the two of us.

We are planning 5 nights in Orlando, then flying to Key West for 2 nights then drive to Miami Beach, Naples, Sarasota, Sanibel Island and back to MCO.

Totally out of touch with the Theme Parks and how the FastPass works nowadays so have a lot of research to do.

Any tips or ideas for the places we are going would be much appreciated.

Anyhow just saying hello again after all these years!

Peter

Welcome back , loads of stuff in the guidebook about fastpass/magic bands so well worth a read. Are you staying onsite for your 5 nights as 2020 free dining is on now? . I can’t help with the rest but we are thinking of doing the gulf coast next year as well .

Hi Welcome back!

Are you planning on just doing Disney?
I prefer the new fast pass system but that’s because I like to plan. ☺️
You can book fast passes 60 days out if staying onsite and 30 days out if not. I’d check out the busy day guide for your stay to help you decide which park might be better for which day. Obviously, fast passes can be changed or cancelled if plans change.

Also don’t forget to download the MDE app where you can book them and any advanced dining reservations. ☺️

Thanks Mexy, RAC20, we will be staying at the Radisson LBV as I have hotel points. Will take a look at the FastPass options along with the busy days guide and the MDE app which is completely different from last time we were there!

Thanks again, Peter
