Traffic Nightmares
Just back after our 2 week stay, we tend to go every 2 years and I have never experienced the traffic nightmares that we found on this trip, I do not mean just around the parks at closing but everywhere.
We travelled to Clear water beach on a Sunday leaving around 11am and run into multiple traffic jams on route. The I4 was just a car park most days regardless of time of day or day of week. Roads around Miami very busy compared to past trips and I am not referring to the I95 tend to stay clear of there unless I feel like joining the wacky races. The 27 from Miami to Polk county and back was busier than usual and we drove the route on a Saturday Seriously looking at staying down the keys on our next visit and doing less driving. I drive at home for a living so heavy traffic is not a problem but do not want to spend a third of my holiday stuck in traffic jams. Just wondering if this is the same experience others who visit more than once are having or did we just hit a bad 2 weeks.

We noticed how bad the I4 was last year, will probably try and avoid it this year.

We got on the I4 early for Disney, at 7.30am didn’t think it was too bad, but after lunch on the way home was busy, used to turn off early & go down IDrive to our hotel.
Miami though was a different story, I agree Wacky Races 🤣on the Dolphin Express it was terrible 😭 |

Must be an increase in tourists driving or locals having more than one car or a mix of both.
Even taking some cut through routes were not that much better.
