Quick Summary: Shhh. It's A Secret...!

So, just got back from our 4 night/5 day trip. Just thought i'd post a summary of it. Would summarise into highs and lows, but it was mostly highs and the "lows" are more observations rather than lows...!

Firstly, this trip was the DD's first ever Disney trip, one of many to come I am sure, and it was a complete surprise to her. We only revealed it on Monday 17th Feb at around 06:30, before breakfast and before heading to St Pancras... We filmed the reveal, and for around 3 minutes it was very underwhelming and then once we'd stopped recording I think the realisation of where we were about to be heading suddenly kicked in and the excitement kicked up a few gears...

Before the full extent of the trip got underway, our DD decided to smash herself in the face with her tablet and almost knock out what was already a wobbly tooth...

Then, on the way to London on the Sunday our train hit a number of sheep that had strayed onto the line as we were nearing Doncaster (from Hull)... That delayed us around 15 minutes while the driver inspected the train for damage.
And if things couldn't get any more exciting, after we'd checked into the Premier Inn Euston our bath sprung a leak and flooded the bathroom floor meaning we had to change rooms... And because of this we were offered a free breakfast, which we gladly accepted as we had planned on buying something once e got to St Pancras!

Thankfully, the journey to DLP via the Eurostar was completely uneventful and we arrived on time and decided to jump on the first bus we could round to Sequoia Lodge. Figured it was easier than walking (with luggage) through the security checkpoint and Disney Village.

Highs
Thought Sequoia Lodge was as good as it was 7 years ago when we last stayed there.
Hunter's Grill buffet was excellent.
Lucie's 1st ever character meet and greet was so special.

The weather was pretty decent most of the week.

Princess Breakfast at Auberge Du Cendrillon was faultless.

Thought the dining plan (Half Board Plus) was a great bonus to have. Especially with the average price of dinner was over 90 Euros (for the 3 of us). We wouldn't pay that out of pocket.
Even though it was half term (UK and France) and it was busy, we didn't find it uncomfortably busy. Wait times were as expected, especially for Peter Pan and Thunder Mountain.
25 Euros for luggage transfer on our last day was well worth it.
Photopass was a good purchase. We didn't pre-purchase and only bought on our 2nd day in the park at a cost of 74.99 Euros. But when you consider the cost of one photo and all the opportunities for photo purchases then thats a bargain. Just need to download them all now!

Observations (not really lows as didn't affect our enjoyment!)
Lineberty - do people actually like this, successfully use it? My personal opinion is that this is an ineffective tool and simply isn't workable at DLP. How it saves anyone any time is beyond me.
Fastpasses - on Friday morning at around 09:15 we joined the line for Peter Pan and at the same time the line waiting to obtain fastpasses was already a dozen people deep. When we got off Peter Pan and were waiting on the Flying Dumbos I noted the same people at the front of the line as the fastpass machines weren't open yet. Those people at the front of that line were simply wasting their time weren't they? They could have already (like us) gotten through the "normal" line before the fastpass machines opened - which incidently were only 10:00 - 10:30 time slot... !
Disobedient children - I often people watch, a lot! And noted a few families who appeared to think it was appropriate to let their child/children to do whatever they liked while waiting in lines for meet and greets or rides. For example swinging on the rope/chains and ignoring both their parent and cast member despite being repeatedly told to stop!
La Grange at Billy Bob's - quite liked the food, but it seemed really cramped and badly set out in here and very noisy. Also the person at the check in desk was very cranky! We arrived 10 minutes early were told abruptly to go away and come back in 10 minutes! And when we did we were in a big line and ended up being about 10 minutes later than our reservation time!

That pretty much covers it. The DD said it was the best holiday ever. So ultimately I think it was a success. And we started to price up for next year... Next time it won't be a surprise that we have to keep secret for 7 months... !

Always do Peter Pan during EMT. If you go there first it has a 5 min wait time.

You're right, sometimes hacks are only useful with thought!
