We have cat steps as our elderly cat can't get on our bed. At 4ft 11" there is also a step at my side

My DD bought steps for her Miniature Dachshund, they were ok.. we now have ramps for both our beds.
Her BF made them for us. They look a bit like this. It's much easier for him to get on and off the bed.

We had this a few year ago with our cocker spaniel , he can’t get up on bed but can jump down onto a padded big cushion.

We bought those steps in the picture , what’s waste of money . The steps at only few inches high (each step) if the dog stride is bigger then it’s almost impossible to use them right.
Maybe an old infirm dog might but not mine.
We binned them.

Our dog gives up easily as in ignore him,
It maybe take a while but I would do that If it were me . I wouldn’t lift her up now on them .
You need your sleep

we had same problem,our dog is 15 now and in the last couple of years has found it difficult getting on and off the bed,and was up and down all night but he never woke me up because I refused to get up when he didnt need to go out,so only woke my husband after months of this I told my husband to ignore him,the dog tried for about 3 nights but my husband wouldn't get up with him and he settled down and now sleeps all night like he used to

I bought some folding ones for my dog when she struggled but she would never use them. I resold them easily on eBay (collection) so maybe worth trying out.

We have the exact same problem with Tilly. Especially if we have been on a long walk her little old legs cant make the jump up to our bed. Our bed is a really high w and Tilly is only small.
I am going to get a ottoman rather than steps. So she can use that 👍🏻
Something along the lines of this;
