Camping

So, we were planning on going to France in early September but we found our tent in the garage. We put it up and it's perfectly fine, so we're thinking of going camping instead.

Any suggestions of camping mattresses or places to go that will take extra large tents? We don't care about lots of facilities but do need toilet and showering facilities

What part of the country?

Many campsites are getting fully booked So I wouldn't hang about booking.

The Range had a good supply of airbeds in today. Otherwise places like go outdoors.

Not particularly bothered where. I'd prefer near the sea and it'd for September so hopefully kids back in school

Do check that the campsite you pick are going to open there Toilet and Showers I have notice some campsites are not going to open them, and some sites are not allowing tents the one we came back from today weren't allowing tents but Toilets and Showers were open but only 3 persons allowed in block at a time only a few times had to wait, and only 1 person in washing up room at a time . We have a Motorhome .

We enjoy Go Outdoors and have found some bargains (they price match and refund the difference of online prices). We like the Vango Self inflating mattresses (SIMS).
Many decent places are booked up for the summer, others aren’t opening for this year, and some are only open for camper vans with own facilities, so you have to be careful what you are booking now. We use Pitch Up, its a good search engine. Haven’t been but Shell Island always gets mentioned, and Crows Nest. If you are on FB, there’s a great page called Tent Talk Camping

Lots in Norfolk.

Long Beach is walkable.into Hemsby, woodhill park walkable to East Runton. Just two examples.

Whatever camping mattress just make sure you have plenty of insulation underneath said mattress. We use foil covered beach mats and then a fleece under the sleeping bags. The cold really can strike up from the ground
