Charity donations
Hi, we are preparing to move house. Probably early in the new year. While clearing out the garage, we need to get rid of a large amount of excellent quality toys my youngest has grown out of. (I was planning to eBay, but it’s too much hassle at this stage)
Does anyone have any ideas of where I can donate these items? With the school meals campaign, it’s obvious that there are kids in this country who will go without gifts this year. I could give to charity shops, but is there anywhere else? Women’s aid, or similar? Normally at this time of year we have radio adverts asking for donations of NEW items, but not heard anything at all this year. These aren’t new, but good quality lego, Playmobile, imaginext etc. |

Contact your local social work dept. They usually know people who could use items ( supportive playgroups/ family centres/women's/refuges shelters etc).
Free on gumtree= people collecting & selling on ( not all but some). |

Local playgroups are always after toys if they are of that age group. Salvation Army near us always takes in toys as do many of the other charity shops.
