I'm not yet a grandma but I'm 58 so could easily be. I'm getting back to my weigh training next week, first personal training session at 7am on 2nd Dec. I was looking at 2 for 1 vouchers for the fastest zipline in Wales yesterday 😁
I'm starting to make plans for my 60th in 22. My idea of a good holiday is hiking in the US rather than relaxing on a beach 😀

Yes! DH is 60 and got made redundant in September. He s now 7 weeks into his training to work for HMRC, a total career change.

I was a granny at 43 and have 4 grandkids ,but my cousin who just turned 70 a month ago is a great gran, she has 4 kids, 6 grandkids and 6 great grand kids, and to look at her you wouldn't think she was a day over 50

Mrs Labboy is fitter than most youngsters, age is just a number.

I wouldn't say I am the fittest person on the planet as I am definitely a couch potato by inclination. However, when circumstances allow I am an enthusiastic badminton player and I do the school run twice a day 3/4 times a week which involves a 90 minute walk twice a day.

Have to add though that sometimes I have read on the Dibb concerned posts about how their parents in their 60s will cope in Florida.

It’s Chris Witty and Matt Hancock syndrome seeing everyone over over 50 as past their sell by date ! I find the way anyone over 50 is written off and needs wrapping in cotton wool else they will perish if they pass over their door step !I am over 50 and proud and able to think for myself (sometimes lol)

I am 50 in a couple of weeks and can’t believe I would be written off.
On the one hand I’m pretty pleased that I now qualify for my SunLife free pen, but in my head I’m still in my 30’s...

The stereotype non hugable granny in a rocking chair is just that a stereotype.
Totally agree,44 and grandma to 4,but my youngest son is 6,not ready for the knackers yard yet!

I became a grandparent at 42, my DH was 41. If I’m expected to work until I’m 67 then I certainly don’t think that I would be classed as old and past it just because I’m a grandparent.
