Guess who saved by flying TC ? Day 9

Sadly, Id blown a few hundred quid on the Norwegian flights, as all TC related searches took you to the Civil Aviation Authority website, where they said ALL TC customers would get home. It only showed the flights for that day, but the day we were to fly was unclickable, but it was there. . The process was so easy and I thank the CAA and Boris for sorting everyone out. I phoned Norwegian and they were very helpful in returning a hefty chunk of my payment back. Bear in mind, I still could have flown home with them. I later spoke to the manager at the GF and he did say that if the CAA, Boris's team and the airlines were prepared to go so far to help us, we should go with them if it was feasible. I agreed.
Anyway, it was our last day at OKW as we were off to the GF in the morning, so with a spring in my step, for the first time in a week, we walked to Disney Springs and shopped in the Coke store. Bear in mind, I was trying not to spend for the last 5 days in case we had to stay beyond our trip to get a flight to preserve money, but , of course, I bought the flights and so freed up my carefree spending side
We were in such good spirits and Leander said it was like being with a new Mitch. We had a bite in D-Luxe burger when it opened and had a can of cider with my grub. I actually tasted it as there was no longer a horrible feeling in my stomach and said to Leander that there was no way we could deal with all the snack credits we had left. We still had a TS left each and a QS, but we were going to the GF Cafe that night and we would use the QS tomorrow as the Dining Plan carries to your last day until midnight.
After this, we went back with our swag to the hotel, changed, packed and went to Epcot to have a last wander around as we were only going to go to MK on the days in the GF. I remember sitting by the shop as you enter World Showcase with an ice-cream (bloody snack credits) and looking out to the lake and when Leander went to the restroom, I saw on the CAA site that the next days flights were on and the common denonimator with todays and the next days were that they were going the same time as the TCs would have. So I literally punched the air and when Leander came back, I dragged her to the Rose and Crown for a mighty fine Strongbow. I was so,so relieved that we were going thursday (it was monday evening now) that it was like starting the holiday again and we could have a top time at the GF kowing it was all sorted.
We went back to OKW and sat out on the balcony and while Leander was catching up with the family, I watched the NFL and drank a few more ciders. At about 9ish, Leander wanted to go for a relaxing stroll around the resort, so we did and we were gone for over two hours. i loved this place and will be back

I can feel the relief in your words. All the pent up worry that you had tried to shield Leander from was now gone. I'm glad you managed to have the last few days as carefree days of holiday. We all take this for granted usually. But perhaps we won't do this so much in the future. A well deserved Strongbow in the rose and crown I reckon.

Amazing that you got it sorted and with a few days to spare to relax and enjoy the holiday.

We were away recently as they were starting shutting borders down and cancelling flights so i know how much time and energy goes into checking and worrying about how you are going to get home.
