How does this flight price sound?

This is our first time looking for flights in school holidays. We usually fly PE in term time so I'm not sure on what is a good price.

I can get MAN>PHL>MCO economy return in May for £1270(£317.50pp) or I can turn it into a fly drive and add a 5 seater SUV for £1688 or a Luxury SUV, hubby's preferred option, for £1978(£494.50pp). There's a couple of cheaper options but I want to avoid the London airport change and long layovers.

Virgin flights even indirect are very high although they haven't been released that long. TUI also high. I know we're at the beginning of the booking window but I'd rather have it sorted if this is an okay price, than have to keep looking.

Opinions please. Thanks

Thanks for the tip. They're currently more expensive than the Manchester flights but I'll keep checking.

Flights wise I would bite your hand off for under £320! Can only dream of that from Scotland! Generally happy with anything around £500 TBH, paid double your price 4 years ago for TC out of Manchester! Not much help on car price, I had a look about for ours & thought that they were all a bit pricey but that's more a sign of the poor exchange rate than actually being that much more expensive IYKWIM

If you are looking to book. Have a look at aer Lingus through Dublin from Glasgow. I’ve just booked flights for Easter for £1700 for four of us. They were £2100 with ba and ba had two transfers (London and Philadelphia or miami).

Thanks for the replies. I went ahead and booked. I really liked the idea of Aer Lingus and completing immigration and customs at Dublin but the flights were nearly £500 each.

We’ve paid £1688 inc full size SUV for 2A 2C 26th May to 6th June flying AA via PHL. The flights were the same price for dates all around this except for Saturdays.

I’m happy we’ve got something to look forward to and am actually excited about indirect. If we find it a breeze then it unlocks savings in future visits.

Now to get browsing the DVC listings... 😁

That seems a good price to me but will be cheaper as they are missing some school days. Still good price though.

Yes we go out the Wednesday and land the Monday morning which is a teacher training day.

We could have had the same price within the holidays though as long as we didn’t fly Sat to Sat. Fri—Fri, Sun-Fri, etc all the same price 👍 I realise taking kids out of school or going for less than a week isn’t for everybody though
