Usually the 1st or the 3rd which is our Anniversary and my birthday. As a rule we go away for a couple of weeks to celebrate so want it up before then. Lights on the garden trees and garage already to be switched on .
This year I would put it up now to bring some joy and happiness its been so miserable

Depends when we get back from either Florida or cruising and if we are only going to be here for a couple of days before heading to ds's for Christmas then we have been known to not put one up.

I've already driven past a house with all their lights up and the wreath on the door. Not sure if they're actually switching them on yet as it was the middle of the day.

I usually put them up on the first weekend in December, just looked at the calendar and this year it will be 5th/6th. We will probably start getting all the boxes down on the Friday, as it takes me hours and hours just to put the tree up.
