Buying a drone as a present

My brother is a builder and has talked about getting a drone to take pictures of his work. The family and I would like to club together and buy him one for his Christmas and birthday present but we have no idea what to look for. The only criteria is that it has a decent camera and costs between £500-£600. Anyone have any experience or suggestions as to which one we should get? Hoping there might be some Black Friday deals?

My son recently bought a Mavic mini. The pictures are great. He was flying it alongside the horses as we were riding. He also managed to get some footage of the roofs of the farm steading that we cannot get at easily for maintenance so that was helpful.

the dji mavic mini is a great bit of kit, and the fly more bundle is worth the extra if it's relatively cheap... you'll almost definitely get a bargain in the black friday sales if youre quick. set up an alert on HUKD for "DJI" and keep an eye on it this week

...however, DJI recently released the dji mini 2... which i would say is as good as the mavic mini, but has a 4k camera rather than 1080p, so is even better for high res footage and is still within your budget...

Don't forget that if it is over a certain weight he will need a license. Rule brought in not long ago.
