I’ve just finished a garland like Sandra’s for DIL
They live in an old farm house with a huge switch back stair case The garland is cheap as chips stuff from amazon but I tied in red berry garland from home Bargins layered red and black tartan ribbon faux antlers and red and tartan baubles and battery lights The whole thing is 28 feet long and we used zip ties and the actual wired branches to attach all the lengths and she’s attached it to the bottom board with command hooks It looks stunning as you come in the front door she’s putting the 9 ft tree in the same colours in the corner by the stairs Her Dad and DS apparently did a bit of this won’t work hold her reply your Mum says it will to which DS said it will then and said no more |

I’ll post a picture of a section of it it was so easy just a case of layering it
I’m that mean though I made the pine cone and pine and ribbon garland she’d seen it in Michaels last year and as they have it this year wanted it but no,way was I paying the price mad postage tax etc as it’s just pine cones bits of pine picks and ribbon on garden twine and a bit of snow spray the pine bits are actually off an old Christmas tree And the cones from a walk up by there farm |

Not the best photo but you get the idea. I’ll have to change my layout this year in our new home but it will be something similar.

I did all 28 feet it’s the length of the stair and gallery landing you can see from below
It took a couple of evenings longest bit tiring all the pine cones ribbon and bits of pine on to the garden twine but it was done in sections and then hung due to the weight Actually found it very relaxing to do |

Sue they are tied on to the garden twine with florist wire available on line from Jonny craft etc I buy it on a paddle but you can get it in lengths a big packet pound land think, they are maybe 10 inches long which might be easier if you don’t want to use Daves wire cutters
I cut a length the fold it in half put it round the bottom of the pine cone twist it to secure then use the two tails to tie on to your garland or wreath Poundland have dried orange slices cinamon sticks pine cones etc You can use the wire to tie on ribbon baubles etc It’s teally easy and Home Bargins have some really nice berry garland to pad it out If you wants some ribbon to add in just let me know and I’ll show you hat I have |
