The points have to be available for your checkin, so if 2020 points became available in August 2020 then I assume these expire at the end of July 2021 unless they were banked.

My points come on in April each year but would expire in March the following year if I did not bank them by 30th November if I wanted to book an April holiday the next year iykwim.
