Renting DVC points - AKL Value

Hey all, hoping someone can help me with this as it's completely new to me. Husband and I have looked at all the options available to us for 2021 and we're thinking that renting DVC points is the way to go. We've looked at Davids DVC rentals (with understanding of what's happened around Covid) and also are quite interested in seeing if there are any DIBB members who are renting out points.

There are a few resorts we would be happy to get, but our first choice would be a AKL value room. I know these are hard to get though, so I want to make sure I properly understand it.

We want to stay for 11 nights, if we need to try and book at 11 months out is this for the start or end of our stay? If it's at the end, does this mean that we will likely not be able to find a room, as others will have been booked for shorter stays?

Any tips to help would be appreciated, plus an idea of whether it's realistic that we will be able to book one or not.

You need to book on 11 months for the day of entry, the booker will then be able to initially book 7 nights. A couple of days later they can extend this to 11 nights.
