i have just spotted my 2020 points have arrived, along with my banked points from last year

we plan to go next Aug 2021 and will book up at 11 months

do i need to bank my 2020 points ? ? ?

yes they are, and we were going to use them this Aug ( 2020 ) but thats not happening

but i dont want to lose my 2020 points by mistakenly not banking them in time

June use year points have to be banked by the end of the following January. So June '20 points by 31st Jan '21.

I think once your June 2020 points became available you could bank them anytime up until 4 months before they expire.

The points need to be in the year you want to use them so if you are using June 2020 points for an August 2021 booking you need to bank them so they are available to book August 21.

Matt worth contacting MS about the '19 points, they told me that they weren't dealing with Jun UY points yet but that was UY'20. I think they can give you an extension until Dec '21 for those banked points.

they told me " We are extending Banked Vacation Points in the April 2019 and June 2019 Use Years for an additional 6 months for affected Members. Since these Banked Vacation Points are in your June 2020 Use Year they can not be extended as you will have the full Use Year to use those. "

i wonder if thats changed ? ? ?

I must have misunderstood. I thought it was points that were banked into the Apr to Jun 2019 use years that were being extended because if you had a trip booked during the closure your points would expire without you being able to rebook and use them.

2019 pointed banked into a June 2020 use year can be used until end of May 2021. A trip can be booked so these would not be extended?

Shelle what I was told totally contradicted what is on website but the CM did state that they weren't dealing with Jun'20 UY "yet" which would imply that they are aware of issues. The reason I'm advising Matt to call is that MS have previously "assisted" UK owners, relaxing some rules, due to our holidays being a bit more problematic IYKWIM

Do you still have to bank them even though you can book this sept for aug stay 2021.
