We spent 3 nights here at the end of our Florida road trip in 2014 with our then 14 year old son. It was a great base to explore the Keys. We loved our time here and did what we had planned but could easily have stayed an extra night. If you have been to Orlando previously and this is your first trip to the Keys then you may prefer more time to explore a new place. Try looking at the places you wish to visit in the keys and then decide if you need the extra night. Have a great trip!

I've jut come back from the Keys and I'd totally recommend staying there for a few days - lots to do.

Hi the first day we spent at the resort around the pool and hired kayaks as we wanted a relaxing day following a driving day. We ate at Green Turtle which was lovely. The second day we split between Bahia Honda and the Turtle Hospital and on our final day we drove down to Key West stayed for the sunset then drove back. Would have liked to have gone to John Pennekempe state park but not enough days!
