Booked My First Cruise !
It's on P&O's Ventura.
Has anyone been on this ship and what did you think of it ? I might have a million more questions over the next few weeks (I depart on 2/4). Thanks Linda. Xx |

Ooh lucky you - I love the Ventura. We did a 2 week caribbean cruise, on Ventura, as our first cruise and I thought it was a great choice as it's very British, so you feel at home straight away and can just enjoy the ports and everything.
We've done mostly American lines since then and they are a different experience - both great though - but American cruises are party central I've just booked a 7 night Carnival cruise for this August, sailing out of Galveston and chose it purposely as it's just me and my 20yr old son this time - he's gonna love it!

Only been on Arcadia so can't help there.
Where are u going? You know you'll be hooked! Have a look at cruise critic for loads of info on your ship, ports of call and whether there is a roll call for your ship. Enjoy. X x Katie |

Congrats Ericsmum! Sounds lovely, not been on P&O but a cruise is a cruise! Fab. Check out cruise critic, as Katie suggested, its so helpful for planning, maybe find your roll call and see if you can join others for a tour or a drink? Have fun!

Thanks all, I'm looking forward to it. I'll check out that website.
It's only 7 days and calls at Vigo, Porto, Lisbon and Cherbourg (from where I've booked an excursion to the Bayeux Tapestries, something I've wanted to see since 1966 !). I hope I will get hooked because there are several others I want to do. |
