Mobile Columbus Day

Just noticed our first park day is actually columbus day! Our chosen park is Epcot, does this mean its going to be extra busy? Should we just stay in bed that day 🤣

Columbus Day isn't really a big holiday and different places celebrate if on different days or not at all. MY son in Texas and his wife both work and the kids have school. Some places have the Monday off school, others the actual day and some districts have a day off totally related to Columbus Day.

I would not avoid oarks but go early and leave when the crowds set in, going back in the evening-my advice anytime.

We were in MK for Columbus Day last year...it was rammed! I honestly can’t remember seeing it that busy.

Despite being rammed though, it was still a good day. Just make use of fastpass and go in with a relaxed attitude and above all, just flow with it.

We were in Epcot a few years ago and it was crammed. Decided that if we were there that time of year again it would be a resort hopping/shopping day instead and we’d keep away from the parks.

Been several times in October, nearly always over Columbus Day weekend. Yes there will be extra people in the parks for a couple of days around the holiday and on the Monday itself, but it's very manageable if you have your FP's organised.

Has never put of us visiting the parks on the Columbus Monday holiday, yes they will be busier, but not Easter / Christmas busy so don't let it change your plans.

It’s our first day too! I was thinking Hollywood studios or animal kingdom. One of the quieter ones 🤷🏻
