NYC food recommendations
Hello all
So my favourite comedienne recently announced a stand up tour in the US only so we spontaneously booked flights to NYC and got meet and greet tickets to meet her. I have been to NYC once before, 8 years ago with my mum but she did all the planning. Since this is an added extra holiday (we are also going to Barcelona in April and LA, Vegas and San Fran in September) we don’t want to spend too much. Just looking for restaurant/food/diner recommendations for where we can eat that is good but isn’t insanely expensive. Thanks!

There’s a great food court in Grand Central - Juniors, Shake Shack and other quick meals are available there.
I’d also recommend Levain Bakery for the most amazing cookies. It’s a stroll from the natural history museum. |

Our favourite meal of the holiday was Ryan Maguires. It was a short walk from the 9/11 museum.
ryanmaguiresalehouse/ We actually ate vegetables there which no where else seemed to serve ! Also enjoyed George’s diner for lunch. This was near Wall St georges-ny/ |

I agree with both of these! I had chicken pot pie in Ryan Maguires and it was so tasty and with veg!
George’s Diner is great for breakfast or lunch too |

non chain diners/places often offer good* value
head over towards hells kitchen a few blocks west from the times square district for more bang for your $$ a lot of the irish bars offer decent pub style food, can recommend Seans Bar 42 W 48th St just off 6th ave behind Rockerfella * still pricey by florida standards if thats your yardstick Edited at 09:26 AM. |
