Oh makes me feel old. Have to say I wasn't as brave this holiday on the big coasters as previously...and wondered if it's because I will be 50 next year ?

I loved the 1980s.

I turned 18 in 1980 and met my husband later that year at the Polytechnic (do you remember those?) we both attended.

Come on Eileen was playing in the workroom when I first visited the office in Birmingham where I worked during my sandwich year 82/83.

I graduated in 1984. Married in 1985 and move to Surrey from the Midlands and got a job in London. We bought our house in 1987 and had our first trip to USA in 1989.

Babies came along in the 90s and life changed for ever. (I think it's called growing up.)

Yes the 1980s was my decade.

P.S. DH are still together all these years later.

Agree with this, my two teenagers both love 80s music.

It seems Africa by Toto is a cult song in their school.

My son and his friends have started playing Red Hot Chilli Peppers and got a shock when I told him they'd been around for years. I think they thought they'd discovered a new band.
