Portofino Club level - worth it?
Evening all, our holiday next year is booked through VH and out of curiosity we wanted to know how much it would be to upgrade our Portofino Bay room (final 5 days of holiday) to club level for the three of us - DH, DD(11yrs) and myself. We were quoted an additional £260 for this. I’ve never done club level before but we have done DDP in the past and will do so again at CBR for the first 9 days of next years holiday. Is this a good price? I personally think it’s ok for 3 people over 5 nights but hubby’s not so sure.
DH and DD are particularly picky eaters however- DH doesn’t eat any fish or chicken and lives on pizza, pasta, burgers or meat (the red kind) and 2 veg and DD never tries anything new so if it’s not familiar to her, it’s a no-go. Will this be the factor that makes us decide it’s not a great deal? Any advice, suggestions or recommendations, thanks. |

If we were staying Royal Pacific we would stay club but if going to PBR we wouldn't. That's purely personal taste and experience of both but others on here would disagree.
Our kids never had a meal in there but it was enough for us oldies as we don't eat much and we're happy with the offerings.

We stayed last month and loved it, the food was great. Breakfast includes hot food as well as pastries etc, you can get bottles of water and cans of drink plus hot drinks throughout the day, crisps etc in the middle of the day, hot food and alcohol early evening then sweet things later.
I think the club bedrooms are also a bit bigger. I have done a food report if you wanted to get an idea of what they serve (start of our trip) https://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/sho... php?t=1141621 |

We did this last year and paid a similar amount extra but for 4 people.
Totally worth it as long as you intend to have breakfast and the evening meal each day. The breakfast in particular is excellent. The evening options are good enough for a meal and you get free beer / wine. You also get a bigger room - ours had a ridiculously large bathroom. |
