How much do magic bands cost?
We’re going back in August next year.
We’re not staying on site so would like to buy magic bands. We bought some several years ago from the pin trading shop at Disney Springs but I don’t think they’ll still work and we do have another person in our party this time. Does anyone know can you still get them at Disney Springs and how much they cost? Thanks

The plain ones cost about about $15.
As for them working - the "short range' capabilities such as park entry, fastpasses etc will always work as it's just the same kind of chip that's in your contactless bank card for example. The only things that may not work are the long range stuff such as automatically adding your photos after each ride, and personalising the rides (like how it's a small world says goodbye to you)

Thanks for that.
Maybe we’ll only have to get one for our extra person. I’m not too bothered about the interactive stuff.

Can be cheaper in the Character Warehouse (have seen plain for $1.99 and special edition Star Wars ones for $8.99); subject to availability though.
