Virgin PE

I'm flying Virgin PE both ways next June. I've flown PE outbound on BA previously, but never inbound overnight, and never with Virgin. Does anyone have experience of Virgin PE, particularly overnight? Any opinions/grievances? Thanks in advance.

We fly in PE or UC. Mainly UC this year albeit PE in August as we had the Granddaughter with us.

I really like PE and apart from the better food and drink in UC I would prefer PE (I'm weird I know!)

What I like is the smaller thus quieter cabin, the bigger seats that allow more wriggle room and the fact that I can get out and go for a quiet wander without disturbing people.

The big decider for me is the seat. Far better in my view and well worth the money.

Thanks for that. The seat's definitely the most important part. As long as it's comfy for dozing overnight, I'm happy.

Virgin PE is better than BA PE. Just my opinion though, others may find it the other way round!

Thanks, that's reassuring. I got it with miles plus money. Bargain!

OP. Your next decision is upstairs or downstairs! You will get loads of differing views on that question

We like downstairs hopefully row 19 A & C. There are some bad seats though. Never opt for 18 and 19 G, right by the loo and the light disturbs you as the door is opened.
18 H & K isn't great either as it abuts the loo.

Following as we've booked PE with Virgin next Aug/Sept.

We chose upstairs. Mainly because I've never flown upstairs on a plane before.

If you're flying outbound PE and care about queuing I suggest moving downstairs if possible, otherwise you'll have a hundred or so people ahead of you in customs. They disembark exit row economy, PE downstairs, UC then bubble so plenty of people ahead of you.
