Transfer a Fastpass (cancel & grab)

Has anyone successfully tried this.
I know that when you have an ADR booked you can cancel and then literally it appears letting someone else to get it.
Is this the same with Fastpasses does anyone know?

Some have reported success but may be more down to luck as not sure if FP is updated in real-time (not sure if anyone knows officially).

It�ll always be a risk as there will always be people around the world trying to get their FP.

We tried this for may 2019 trip and actually lost the fast passes, depends what you�re wanting to book. What we lost was slinky dog dash... but fortunately were able to book again for another day

I managed it a few years back with fastpasses for Frozen at the height of the hysteria
