Excited about Disney

Beach at the Boardwalk
Going through some old paperwork this week I came across a WDW ‘The Little Big Book of Magic’ which gave us information on Disney prior to our holidays in either 2012 at OKW or 2013 at BC.
Since these holidays we purchased DVC at Boardwalk and I thought I’d look at Disney’s description of the amenities there. I was surprised to find that under their PLAY section as well as advising Themed pool, 2 further pools, health club, etc it also advertised a BEACH ⛱⛱⛱ Just curious to find out whether there was some sort of sandy area, that was classed as a beach, prior to us purchasing DVC there.

Maybe they mean the bit of sand in front of the Beach Club?!

Bit of a trek to get there towing a couple of kids who want to build a sandcastle.

It’s not that far. Plus there’s a ‘beach’ at Swolphin. I can see how the Disney marketing machine would have included it as a BWV amenity!

There is a big beach right in front of the pool. In fact you need to go on it to get on the shipwreck slide.
They also have films there some evenings. But they also do private corporate events on the beach. Which means you cannot go on it during those. They are normally early evening into the night though. |

Can't recall seeing a sandy area at Boardwalk.
Does this document also have the Attic- supposed member's lounge that was in the original Boardwalk literature, but was taken as a Disney exec lounge, before more recently being used for weddings etc?

Although it now has rocks to stop you going into the lake. |

This is at Beach Club, but OP is saying it was advertised Boardwalk had a beach? Unless it was referring to the Beach Club one- which isn’t at Boardwalk or even on the Boardwalk.
