Would stopping frequent flyer awards stop you flying

The climate change agenda has identified frequent flyer perks as a reason people fly frequently. (Dont shoot the messenger)

Would not having airmiles flights lessen flight frequency?

For us we fly at least two sets of long haul flights a year with BA airmiles plus companion voucher. It would cost more but we would still do the flying so I dont believe it would alter our flight pattern.

Wouldn't make any difference, I dont fly often enough to get enough frequent flyer bonuses anyway.

No. We are not loyal to any one airline.

Wouldn’t make any difference to us either. We’re not particularly loyal to any airline and are rarely able to use any points we have accumulated anyway.

Generally, you need to be fairly wealthy to collect the amount of miles required for a flight so I would guess banning air miles will have minimal impact as they would just pay for the flights instead!

No, we work out when and where we want to go on holiday and then see if we can use our miles to book the flights, not vice versa. Would explain why we normally have 2 vouchers and 600-700k avios balance that replenishes faster than we spend it.

One thing that stooping loyalty cards would do when it comes to business, is I would be much more varied in airline choice. Always interested to see what others have to offer but tend to stick with BA. The loyalty benefits extend beyond the tier points and avios by sticking with them.

We used to fly BMI from Manchester more than any other carrier.
We collected points with Delta, United, AA, BA, and Virgin.
Once we started shopping around using Kayak collecting points became an irrelevance.
We fly at most three times per year, mostly once, so frequent flyer programmes don't really add up to much now.
Our BA Executive is kept active by TESCO Clubcard, our VA was receiving points from Shell Drivers Club, until that stopped with Shell Go. We've lost our VA points this month.

So, no, stopping flyer programmes won't make any difference to us.

Massively ramping aviation taxes will affect us, and that's where we are heading with Greta, Extinction Rebellion, and the other eco-fascists and globalists dressed up as Quatermass & The Planet People.
