Ongoing weather updates

Us brits love talking about the weather don’t we? A few of us are due to travel to the sunshine state very soon so I thought it would be helpful to have a thread where people there now can regularly update us on the weather.
I’ll be happy to update when i’m There.

There was an item on the news this morning that someone was killed in Florida, hit by a tree in Hurricane Michael. Winds up to 155mph. No idea whereabouts in Florida though.

We’re here now, the weather had been hot and humid and mostly cloudy. There had been heavy rain every afternoon, especially yesterday and It has been windy. We’be been in October a few times and have never seen this much rain or level of humidity before.

According to DH, the weather is to take a turn for the better over the next few days, fingers crossed.

I’m not complaining though, it could have been so much worse. I saw photos on the news of where hurricane Michael hit and it makes you realise how lucky we are to live in the U.K.

Yes, according to the local weather channels as HM moves North it will drag in a spell of dry sunny weather behind it. Humidity not so bad they say. Overcast but bright this morning.
