I was on the “other site” before the dibb broke away and I and others broke away with it, way back in the distant past, I think there was about 20 of us, Smax and Stu, Bev the original cinders mum, Angel... lynn the Pynn... Vron and a few others

It’s very big now, mostly as friendly but has lost the intimacy of the early days BUT it’s success is due to that growth...

I have never looked at your join date before, only 2014? You are a dibb toddler. I always assumed you had been on here since time began.

OP, to the initial question, I first heard about the dibb via tripadvisor. I have used that for donkeys years, I have written a handful of reviews but mainly I just read. Anyway I dabbled with their forums at one point, but they can become hostile so I don't do that anymore, anyway when I was reading about some WDW stuff I saw a few people mention "thedibb". So here I am.

I read some comments about The Dibb on another Disney planning forum and every time The Dibb was mentioned it was always in a negative way I decided to check it out myself and found it to be so much more useful that the other forum.

I think I found the Dibb on a google search, looking for help on Car Hire Insurance... as the Thomson "free" car hire insurance was astronomical.

I've not been back to Disney in about 5 years, but love the camaraderie on the General Chat, so I'm reading most days.

I’m a newbie, I think it was 2017 I joined whilst planning my first trip. I remember goggling so many questions and seeing the dibb pop up with the answers a few times. I remember the first time I went onto the full dibb website sitting up almost all night reading all the planning info and making notes and being shocked at how little I actually knew. It was great and covered everything from driving over there to using my mobile phone. I’d never been so amazed by a website. I’ve recommended the dibb to any friends and family who mention Florida or ask me for advice about booking.

Back in the early days of this millennium I used to visit DIS and another which I can't recall. There was a reference on DIS to the DIBB so I tried it. Haven't been on any other Florida forum since.

User name was Joan on the other one so DIBB inherited "Mick"

I started off on the Passporter site, no longer going now. Went on to that other big American site but never felt comfortable on the UK part. I think I found the dibb from there.

I found the Dibb just by chance whilst Googling about Disney parks and holidays. I was a long time lurker before actually joining.

I really can't remember how I found The Dibb but I pretty sure it was maybe via the 'Other Site' too..
