Applying for DAS

Probably been done to death but here goes:

When applying does it have to be when we arrive in the US?
Been reading about folk using VPN’s so does that mean they’re applying from the UK?

Would rather get it all sorted before we go but just wanting to know from the experts here.

I did my DDs via a VPN from our dining room, think it was 30days before our trip. They do the interview over Zoom so might be worth pre downloading that before you start.

If granted I’ve just seen on another site that it’s valid for a year now.

So get a VPN, access the US website and I can sort from there? Is the link on the US site?

Yes it is, I used Tunnelbear and it worked fine for me.

Yes it is, it changed just before we applied.

It’s not a year sadly it’s for length of your pass , so if you have an annual pass it’s a year ,if you have a 14 day pass it will be valid just for the 14 days .
