Kitchen refurb start and end of day 1 photo - page 6

One week down, 2 to go. Kitchen cabinet fitting after and another 10 days to get the quartz counters.

cooking much easier than expected even without kitchen. Multicooker and air fryer are great!
washing dishes is nightmare
we don't have hot water for the weekend, lucky we have family around and gym membership for a shower - and escape from the builder noise
all tradesman lovely so far, hard working, turning up on time and keen to do good job
my contingency budget is getting smaller daily!

That's where are we at end of week You can't really seee how much work is done from photo one but electricals, plumbing,
work on support beam, work on outside wall - I think they are on track so far

We are doing things as moving gas boiler, moving washing machine etc - and that's not visible in the photo but good progress

Good progress so far - gas boiler moved to boiler house, enough space left for condenser dryer. Plumbing for washing machine moved out of the kitchen, supports in, insulation in, electricals and plumbing for new layout done

First delay today, windows doors to the garden suppose to be in and nowhere to be found. Hope we hear form them later or tomorrow morning

The vent for the extractor for island hob looks huge but I am glad we are getting it vented out.

Hopefully the photos will be more interesting from now on

We are getting double door like this between the dinning room and kitchen



lead is few months unfortunately but that's the doors we want so we are going to have to wait.

Ordered lights for over the island, same as this photo but black/pewter shade. I was told some delays expected due to Brexit but still should be here in 2 weeks max.

Coming along nicely. They have opened it up very well and so much easier to work when everything is out and you can see where you are and what task is next.

Going to be a nice big area when completed.

Hope they have 4 of them to get those steels up.
