From what you’re all saying 74 is not warm for air con after all!
I’m going to stick with the Villa already booked and if it’s too warm I’ll just have to sort something out. Thinking about it I’ve never once been anything other than nice and cool in any of the Villas or Condos we’ve stayed in before in Orlando and I have no idea what they were set to! Thanks all, I knew I’d get some great advice from Dibbers |

74 is pretty well the norm...
Ours is set around that and I never feel hot...just comfortable It really does not feel like the 74 you might be used to in the UK! Ceiling fans help especially if you find a liittle warm at night As said it is not about energy cost saving, but about preventing the units freezing up, which would give you no AC at all, and the villa owner huge bills to sort Stay with your villa, others will be the same thereabouts, and enjoy your holiday xx

Yes, especially at night and I'm at that age where night sweats make sleep hell at times

Horses for courses, I find it warmer than I would have liked at 74f Shouldn’t have to put a fan on at night if the house is air conditioned 🤷🏼

The ceiling fans work to cool the air as they turn one way and lift the air up
You can adjust them to turn the other way and push the air down. this has a mild warming effect, as I found out one January when I had my huge sliders right across the back of the villa replaced with double glazed ones , and cold air came rushing in I never knew that, and wondered whatever the workmen were doing ! You live and learn

A couple of things are deal breakers on villa rental for me. There has got to be ceiling fans in every bedroom and I must have control of the air on down to 70.

I live here and always leave the ac on 74. The ceiling fans are perfect for sleeping and I do notice the difference if I forget to turn it on. As mentioned the ac does remove the humidity from the air which makes a huge difference too.
