Mmm, always look to the future and a potential Court case. So take loads and loads of pictures. Put a level across it to show the fact it's up and down like a you yo more so than the issue of being level as very few floors are.

My view is assume the worst and hope for the best so anticipate having to take it to small claims.

In the photo it is the boards that aren't level because they aren't clicked together so one is higher

I agree with Tom, I wouldn’t be paying but I also wouldn’t want him to refit as the finish will be just as poor second time round.
Has it been fitted by the flooring store fitter? I would take lots of pics abd go in to see them if so. They should be sending someone ekes to rectify it properly. Let us know how you get on.

The store gave me details of a fitter but they quoted over £800 to fit it.

We put laminate down 11 month's ago ourselves but it kept creaking, the joints weren't brilliant and the dogs had dribbled (boxers) all over it.

So our badly fitted flooring didn't last long.

After ripping up the original parquet flooring, screed down we paid for someone to fit new laminate for a £100 he's done a lovely job.

I wouldn't accept how yours has been done as you'll probably be like us, it was just no go within the year.

So theres your answer. How many sq mts is it? What make of flooring is it?

At the end of the day, Laminate is designed for DIY. Floorlayers need to earn a living, so with the £800 you would get a guarantee and a professional finish. What price did the guy quote to fit it? A floorlayer would have prepped and advised on the level of floor also. Also, a lot of laminates click system is awful, at the end of the day you get what you pay for.

So what was the sq meterage? & areas?
