Roast lamb gorgeous but expensive.

When did lamb become so much more expensive than beef? I have to be honest I generally look at the size of the joint but this time I noticed the actual price.

Lamb is one of our faves for Sunday roast but it’s just too expensive (been like that for the past few years) - we now only buy for special occasions

It was absolutely gorgeous and plenty for shepherd's pie tomorrow.

We usually stock up when the half price legs are on offer in Tesco and put them in the freezer. Cooked on a low heat for around 5hours. Delicious!

Oh that should be soon shouldn't it,? Usually around Christmas. That said there were not a lot of lamb joints on Thursday so I'm guessing that may not happen anytime soon.

Yes, we do this too. Normally get a good size leg for about £12 down from about £20 for Christmas dinner.

I love lamb and yes we’ve just had Shepherds Pie tonight with roast potatoes and garden peas

We love lamb. It's my husband's favourite but I won't spend that much on it 🙈

From memory Christmas and Easter, usually they have half price beef joints at the same time.
