Finally booked!
Oh joy!
I've finally booked under the BA Black Friday deals - two weeks in late Sept/early Oct at the Rosen Shingle Creek. Flying BA premium economy and hire car from Sixt. Staying at the four star Rosen worked out cheaper than ANY of the villas on offer at BA holidays! I find this astonishing. Why have villa prices skyrocketed? Demand? It must be. As there are only two of us staying in the hotel makes sense, and the Rosen is much better priced than any of the other 4/5 star hotels in the area. |

Fantastic you’ve booked & you’ve got something to look forward to
I booked our city break last week too, saving over £350 & an extra night When staying in Orlando we usually stay at Rosen Inn International, its cheap & cheerful & near lots of restaurants & Universal & next door to Dunkin Donuts Great time to visit in September that’s our preferred time I think Rosen hotels are always very reasonable |

You superstar, thanks so much - for posting this.
4 adults, premium economy plus, Rosen Shingle Creek for £4.9 k - we have a £450 voucher, so very happy indeed. Shingle Creek is a great hotel and considering the prices for our dates in premium - flights only were 4k yesterday is amazing. And there is a Dunkin Donuts (with added cops always in there) across the road also. |

I booked car rental separately, so the price for two world traveller returns and 14 days at the Shingle Creek (buffet breakfast included) together was around £3,300. I think that's pretty good - cheaper than renting a villa.
The Sixt car hire was painfully expensive - £798 for a large car (e.g. Ford Mondeo) for 14 days, but we did have a £515 credit from our cancellation last year. Edited at 10:54 AM. |

That's really good for four people. When are you going?
I will also get a £350 reduction from a cancellation voucher, so it will go down to £2.9k, which is OK. Maybe I missed a trick not waiting longer, but what the heck. Still a pretty good price overall given that late Sept is still a popular time of year. Now the challenge is getting my boss to approve my holidays. Edited at 11:06 AM. |
