I'm not a Beatles fan at all (hard work when you're married to a scouser. )
I enjoyed it mostly. I got more insight into how McCartney and Lennon interacted with each other but got bored when they got a bit childish, however, whatever works and that surely did work.

Excited about Disney

I've just finished the 3rd part and all I can say is it was pretty awesome. Seeing the band dynamics was fascinating, but watching the birth of tunes so familiar was truly amazing. I wish there was more.

Can’t wait to watch it. Could be my secret Christmas treat after everyone else has gone to bed!

I just finished the second episode. Enjoyable but pretty tedious in parts. I love how laid-back Ringo always was. John has always been my favorite for various reasons, but clearly Paul was the Alpha in this session.

It was a treat for me from start to finish. The highlights for me were;
Seeing songs that start as an idea being formed into the songs we know and love. Two of us sung ventriloquist style, and it still sounded great. Ringo and George are/ were thouroughly nice people. Paul’s love for music and performing shone through. Paul’s daughter mimicking Yoko screeching down the microphone after watching her do it during a jam session. It’s a pity they stopped doing live shows as they were still fantastic performers.

We finished it the other night and we both loved it. I think I can understand why people might find it a bit tedious but we just found it so fascinating and actually pretty emotional knowing what was to come.
The part on the roof was great, if only those police officers knew this was the last time. Oh, and I wasn’t a Beatles fan at all until I went to see Love, which I’ve now seen 4 times lol. |
