Coffee Pod Machines

Which coffee pod machines do you recommend, I've been looking at either a Tassimo or Dolce Gusto.

I can highly recommend the Nespresso CitiZ. Use it every day working from home.

If you don't mind spending a bit more, nespresso vertuo! far far nicer coffee than a tassimo (we have both). They are likely to do really good offers over the next few months too so keep an eye on them.

We have got the Nespresso Latissima and really like it. I buy Sainsburys own pods which are really nice.

I'm on my second Nespresso Pixie, the last one lasted 5 years

There are basically 3 types of pod machines

Nespresso machines use pods which are just ground coffee, you add milk afterwards

The Original Nespresso has the smaller pods

The Nespresso Vertuo has the bigger pods

The Tassimo and Dolce Gusto use coffee pods with powered milk pods

Ds2 is a student , bought him dulc gusto one for roughly 30 and he loves it, he’s popular with flatmate who has coffee most afternoons with him. I but boxes when on offer. Cheaper than going out every day for coffee xx

DD has a Tassimo which was reasonably priced and she is very happy with it. However other brands have a larger selection of pods in the supermarket.

I won’t buy Nespresso as I try to avoid Nestle products. I am happy with our Tassimo and you can buy pods in bulk from them online which can work out cheaper. They now provide a recycling bag you can fill up and send off.

That said, I think next time I would get a bean to cup machine as there are so many nice sounding brands of coffee beans out there!

I hope you don't use the recycling option for Tassimo, as that is actually a Nestle provided service that Tassimo (well Jacobs Douwe who own Tassimo) pay Nestle to provide in the UK
