Beautiful flowers Louise, I love poppies but I do wish they lasted longer

Just spent a very long hot day out with DH, our son and his fiancée and our dogs in Swansea. Firstly spent a few hours on the beach at Port Eynon, which was lovely and not too busy but very hot. Then we visited the Swansea Bay pop up food festival and ate far too much delicious food and had a delicious cocktail in a beach bucket 😂 It really was a lovely family day out.

Also good to see people sticking to the social distancing rules, wearing masks indoors and the festival was very well organised with app ordering and table service. It all felt very safe 💞

So glad you had a lovely day - it’s so nice to get out and about and so much better when people are being sensible.

DH and I have a few days off work this week so hoping to have a couple of days out.

I’ve been very tentative about going out but I feel so much better once I get out, and seeing others being careful and keeping distance etc does help me feel safer.

It was such a hot day at the beach, we really could have been on the Med 😂

I hope the weather stays good and you and your DH can enjoy your few days off xx

It really couldn’t have been a better day anywhere else in the world 💞 I think our son and his fiancée missed seeing us throughout the lockdowns too so it’s especially nice to be able to spend time together now

Had a lovely morning out today, went to Porthkerry Park in Barry and then down to The Knap for a chippy lunch.

The weather was glorious but as we were driving home, it became quite misty. So glad we went early and made the most of the sunshine.

It was so nice, we hadn’t been to Porthkerry Park since our kids were small. It was quite bittersweet as it’s right on the flight path down into Cardiff airport and the kids always loved spotting the planes - the sky was so much quieter today.

We were there around 2 weeks ago, wouldn’t it have been lovely to bump (socially distanced of course) into each other 😃

It is beautiful there and so much nicer than the main Barry Island beach
