Its two different hotels you have the old tower and the new tower (which they show on all promotions)

The rooms in the old tower are fine, no different to the Rosen. The pool is decent and has a hot tub. Its right on the lake which is nice.

It is further north of I drive which makes it a bit of a longer walk to the better restaurants by Icon and Pointe.

Free breakfast was OK continental style with waffle makers.

Overall its not a bad place, I wouldn't tell people to avoid it. No different to Rosen Inn in terms of rooms and amenities but Rosen inn is better located.

Edit: I'm comparing to Rosen Inn. Never stayed one closest to Universal.

I would never go by reviews too much, its full of crazy people who seem to spend all thier holidays complaining at the front desk.

Honestly its a room with two beds a bath/shower and air con and a decent pool on I drive. Its fine

I stayed 1 night in the Ramada Plaza in 2019, a prepositioning upon arrival at MCO in the evening before moving on to the Royal Pacific at 0730 next morning. There is no point paying Universal Hotel rates before you can get the benefits.

It was cheap (£64 inc breakfast for 4 in August), clean, uninspiring and totally meeeh. Everything was typical for its class of Hotel and there was nothing to criticise at all. The location was perfect for our needs.

If doing the same again, then I would unhesitatingly use it again. I simply needed beds and a ‘grab it’ breakfast. Stay for longer? No. I would pay a little more.
