How to help elderly relative

Thank you. She’s out of hospital now and my aunt and uncle are there currently so will call her tonight to see what we can do. The consensus between all my older relatives and my hubby is carers. Just not sure how she will react. Might be time to make everyone come together and discuss it but I have to be careful that I’m not poking my nose in and upset her. It’s a fine line.

We did get a care line that was attached to the house phone but another friend had the same thing and she had a fall. All they did was call the house phone which obviously this old lady couldn’t get to and after an hour of no answer they then sent someone round. It seems a bit silly that to me. But it’s policy and it didn’t reach the bottom garden where she keeps the vegetables so my gran saw little point in keeping it.
We also have a doro for her with the button on the back but she forgets it or other day said she couldn’t have used it but she wanted a watch that does it but couldn’t work it so god knows what.

We couldn’t really ask the person just down the road for anymore as they are doing as much as possible and they aren’t even related.
