Alamo Standard SUV luggage

Hi guys

Never hired a car for a full trip before but decided to next year

Anyway we’ve booked with virgin holidays and currently have a RAV4 or similar for the 4 of us

However as it turns out we’ll now have a 5 month old as well so 2 adults, a 11 year old, 6 year old and a baby along with 4 big cases and a pram

Going to change to a standard SUV (sante fe or similar) but worried we still would be short on space just for the airport run

Has anyone experience with this category? Wondering if I need to go even bigger but I’d rather not

You should have no problem. All have 5 decent sized seats some are people carriers so have an extra row of seats you can fold down for luggage. We travel with a wheel chair for my son and have never had a problem fitting everything in.

We had a standard SUV from Alamo in 2018
All that was available was the Santa Fe Sport which is slightly smaller than the Santa Fe
We got 4 cases in no problem but a pram would not have fitted in

Cheers, will put some thought into it, have a fear we’d end up somewhat stuck with not being able to get everything in and need to do 2 trips or something

we have done a std with 4 people 2 adults 2 kids 3 & 6 with a city mini gt - it was a squash so may depend on how many cases you have. I remember on the way home hubby loaded all the cases in the car and drove to disney springs VA check in while me and the kids went over on the boat from SSR and met him there because we couldn't get everything in the car

That’s a good point actually we’d be able to do that

Never really utilised Ds Check in before as we’ve not had a car and it’s hard work getting cases there without

My advice to set your mind at rest would be to visit your local toyota and Hyundai dealer and have a gd look at a rav4 and Santa Fe
