October 2021 POSITIVE Planning

Hi, very hard to answer in an unselfish way! I think it is still positive for October, and probably more positive that the opening up is happening slowly. I am still not sure if we would travel on Amber though. Decision date for us is probably late September!

Let's get the obvious one out of the way... "Biden, Borders, Blah blah blah". Nothing new there yet.

But the government do seem to intend to remove the 10 day self isolation in time for late summer, not great news for the August thread but I'm feeling this is actually very promising for October. Essentially give or take a couple of tests, the uncertainty around kids and the borders being "reopened" an Oct trip is now much more feasible looking without that isolation period. I must stress it has not been confirmed but surely things can only get better...

Still in the game for Oct, would love to hear some others views on their Oct trips.

I've decided to go with blind optimism for the next month and see what happens with updates etc.

I've just booked some HHN tickets, I'm feeling positive for our October trip, we leave on the 24th for 3 weeks

We are going 2nd-16th October, not 100% convinced I think I stand more chance if we were going the last two weeks, but I’m keeping everything crossed that we will be going🙏🙏🙏

Edit: forgot to say, that's for BA direct, BA186 and BA187!
