Only been to HK, top tips- Peak tram(very cheap!), Star Ferry(crazy cheap!), Disney, cable car to Big Buddha, lights on Victoria harbour. All amazing, loved every minute. Only need one full day at Disney, no queues to speak of. the Disney train is AMAZING!

KL- I did the bus tour the first morning to get my bearings. You can see a lot in a short time. I wasn’t a fan of the Petronas Towers s it was all a bit sterile. However I much preferred the KL Tower (Menara?) as less touristy and you got to see the Petronas Towers in the distance!
The Batu caves are worth a visit - they were being renovated when I was there but my sun went last year and they were finished! The highlight was the rain forest walk - had to be booked in advance and a bit of a hike by taxi but worth it. In HK, in some respects the kate time I went was just at the peak of the demonstrations so it was very quiet (my son is a student there hence the visit). The Peak Tram is definitely worth it (though my son takes the bus as cheaper 🤣 as is the Big Buddha. A day was enough at Disney - they have now finished the castle! I did some more of the beaten track things too! It is worth getting the HK equivalent of the oyster card and use the public transport as it cheap and efficient. There is a lot more details in my trip reports!
