I also put on weight and after chemo treatments I had another year of another drug which had a bad affect on my heart (while taking the drug) and struggled mainly because I had no energy. It’s definitely the drugs as I could barely eat while having chemo.

It’s early days. Your body has been through a lot - don’t be too hard on yourself too quickly.

Just well done for kicking cancer's a*** and finishing up chemo.

The weight gain may be frustrating but your body is (all of your bodies are) amazing.

You'll get there, be proud of what you have accomplished so far

Hi I hope everyone is doing as well as expected.
I finally had appointment with radiotherapy consultant and have an appointment on Wednesday for planning CT and then should start radiotherapy within a week
I have to have 2 weeks and then that’s it 😀

I found radiotherapy easy compared to chemo - hope you are the same.

I have no experience of cancer/chemo but weight-loss is driven by hormones as well as calories in/out. Chemo is a huge assault on the body, don’t underestimate what every single body system will have been through - it may take time for your underlying digestive and hormonal systems to realise they are not under attack on a daily/weekly basis.

I can imagine the frustration in wanting to lose the weight. You’ve done fabulously to get through this, maybe try not to put too much pressure on yourself to snap back to normal? Nourish your body with healthy foods, keep up with the steps and I’m sure it will come xx

I feel sure much of what goes on from the shoulders down is reative to what happens from the shoulders up.

Get a big hug from the family and the weight will drop off 💜
